Telstra announces its iPhone 3G mobile phone plans

Telstra has released information stating that it will be one of the main carriers of the Apple iPhone 3G come July 11. Telstra hasalso released its iPhone 3G mobile phone plans.
The mobile phone plans that Telstra is offering for the iPhone 3G are:
- 8G iPhone - $279 upfront on a $30 a month mobile phone plan.
- 8G iPhone - free on a $80 a month mobile phone plan.
- 16G iPhone - $399 upfront on a $30 a month mobile phone plan.
- 16G iPhone - free on a $100 a month mobile phone plan
All these mobile phone plans for the Apple iPhone 3G will be on 24 month contracts.
Telstra has over 9 million customers and a big drawcard for the iPhone - Telstra has one of the largest and fastest 3G network coverage areas with its Next G network, with frequencies that match those required for the Apple iPhone.
